Member Potluck Meeting
Ontario Heritage welcomes the return of popular Inland Valley Daily Bulletin David Allen, who will be reading from his newly-published book Waving at Strangers. Like his previous two books, Waving at Strangers is a compilation of selections from his past columns. Included are a farewell to Hoyt Lumber, reporting of public meetings of various city councils and other government organizations, and a profile of a business man who won a contest for the most cluttered workspace – just a small sample of what the book contains.
David’s past programs for Ontario Heritage have always been a hit with members, and CCMA offers a great venue for seeing current art exhibitions as well as enjoying David’s talk.
The cover of the book, which inspired the title, shows David waving to strangers as part of his stint as Grand Marshal of the Pomona Christmas Parade in 2007. Attend the meeting and he’ll wave at you, even though you’re not a stranger.
